Work the three base rows first; then work the upper part.
Past the third row of the upper portion (you will have 6 rows worked totally), work the sides of the wings separately.
Work the rest of the body of the upper part placing a size 11 Japanese seed bead for the last bead of the center column so there is no space as the pattern shows.
Then turn your work & your pattern to add the bottom portion. The bottom wings will be worked individually past the 9th row of the bottom part. If you have a problem counting your rows diagonally, count the beads in the center row of the body. There should be 8 Delicas under the size 11 seed bead.
