Gold & Silver Pendant
The Glass Butterfly, Etc.

Illustration 1: Start the pendant by making a strip of 3 gold diamond links. Pick up 6 silver beads, needle through the hole in the stone; then pick up 6 more silver beads.

Needle through the corner bead of the gold diamond link & the first 6 silver beads added in this step.

Illustration 2: Pick up 7 silver beads, 5 gold beads & 7 silver beads; then needle through the side beads, skipping the corner bead of the gold diamond link.

Needle through the beads just added, skipping the center bead of the 5 gold ones.

Needle through the side beads skipping the bead of the diamond link as before.

Illustration 3: starting at the black arrow, needle through the 7 silver beads & the 4 gold beads, skipping the center of the 5 gold beads as shown.

Pick up 3 gold beads & needle through the beads following the thread paths, skipping the corner beads to create the diamond as shown.

Then needle through the 13 silver beads & the corner bead of the diamond link as shown.

Illustration 4: The loop for the pendant is added to the back of the strip of 3 diamond links.

Pick up 9 silver beads & needle through the top corner bead of the 3 gold diamond links.

Repeat this thread path two or three more times to strengthen the attachment of the loop.

Finish off the thread ends & your pendant is ready to add to your chain!

A different size or shape of stone bead will work by adjusting the number of beads on the sides & in front of the bead.
